Reservation System
The R&D Team spent a lot of focus on how we could improve the experience for our merchant partners at LivingSocial. Leveraging existing brand guides from the consumer-facing product, we developed a customer and a merchant flow focused around a restaurant use case. An iPad-delivered hostess station mixed with some more powerful CRM type tools allowed for reserving a table on the way and better overall management of the floor.
Point of Sale
Many LivingSocial merchants were QSR (quick service) restaurants. Building off our reservation system, we worked up a concept for a replacement for old and clunky point-of-sale systems with an integrated credit card processing system, things that would become the standard less than a decade later.
